Voting
For information related to this topic that is provided in American Sign Language (ASL), visit our Voting Videos in ASL page.
Please note: New voting laws passed in recent state legislative sessions may impact how you vote. Some of those laws may be challenged in court and change. While we try to keep our voting resources current, you may want to contact your county’s election administrator to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.
Disability Rights Texas has been designated by the Help American Vote Act to ensure accessible voting in Texas. Our staff specialists train people with disabilities on voting rights, survey polling places for accessibility, work with election officials, and respond to legislative inquiries. We help ensure that Texans with disabilities can:
- Access polling places
- Cast a ballot
- File a complaint if excluded from any part of the voting process
